Your storage will vary depending on your plan. No matter what plan you’re on, each site has two containers, each of which has 1GB of RAM and 1 CPU core. We can increase these resources when needed.

We strongly recommend keeping automatic updates enabled, as you run the risk of security breaches with out-of-date software. However, if you insist on it, you can edit your wp-config.php file to disable core updates, as well as install plugins to configure what happens automatically.

Our pre-installed LiteSpeed Cache plugin manages the caching and CDN (where enabled) for your site, making your site load faster for visitors. We’ve set defaults that will work well for the majority of sites, but we can also help you tailor the settings to fit your site’s needs.

Of course you can. Find the theme or plugin you want to use, and add it to your site through your WordPress dashboard. Please keep in mind that pirated or "cracked" themes and plugins present major security risks, and we do not take responsibility for any potential issues these may cause.

You can have the number of live sites your plan allows. For each live site, you can have up to two simultaneous staging sites.

You can migrate your WordPress site from any existing provider easily with our assistance, and you might even find it easier than you think.

Yes, all Managed WordPress plans have free SSL certificates included. You can also force HTTPS on your WordPress site by following our tutorial.

While email addresses aren’t included in your Managed WordPress plan, you can purchase mailboxes to use with your domain. These can be selected during checkout or through the Onyx portal.

We strongly recommend you do not add additional caching plugins. You may wish to use plugins to minify or combine your JavaScript or CSS files, however.

Yes, we take regular backups (hourly for our larger plans), and ensure there are always two backups available for you to use if needed. You can also install plugins to take backups separately, but please ensure that you save your backups away from your plan. Our Managed WordPress plans are for website files only, not for backups or other file storage.

If you suddenly get more visitors than you expected, we’ll adjust the resources being used by your site. We’ll also send you a message that you’re hitting your plan limit, and you should consider upgrading. We won’t disable your site automatically, nor charge extra. However, if you know you will be receiving more visitors soon, such as running promotional campaigns, please let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
